Cruise Tampa Bay Aboard The "Wind Ketcher"
Step aboard the Wind Ketcher, a 32' Allied Seawind II ketch-rigged
cruiser with a spacious layout, and traditional attractive lines.
The Wind Ketcher has a very stable sailing aspect.
The Seawind II was designed by renowned naval architect, Thomas
Gillmer. The Wind Ketcher carries traditional "blue water" capabilities.
In her former life the Wind Ketcher sailed to the west coast of Africa
and back. She is 32 feet in length, 15,000 lbs., draws 4 1/2 feet
and has sister ships all over the world that have proven her design.
Her smaller predecessor, the Seawind, was the first fiberglass sailboat
to circumnavigate the globe.
She now hails from Land's End Marina in Apollo Beach. Her captains
are Gil Gott and Ed Verner. Her voyages now consist of charter cruises
and instructional sailing in the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay. Come
with us and experience the sounds of the wind and the waves as you
enjoy fine wine, cool jazz, light snacks, (or a smooth cigar) as
you glide through the Bay waters. You can take the helm, or relax
on the bow and feel the light sea spray and fresh air, or ensconce
on the comfortable cushions in the cockpit. Relax and enjoy a sail
aboard the Wind Ketcher. |
